How does my body use Alkaline water if the stomach is acidic, pH 2 or less?

It is important to remember that large amounts of hydrochloric acid are present in the stomach primarily when food is there. There is only a small amount of acid in stomach when it is empty, and this can be easily overcome when alkaline electron-rich water is consumed. Therefore, in order to gain maximum benefit, we recommend drinking alkaline water in between meals.

Water consumed between meals will very quickly pass through the stomach and the GI tract.

Will the Hydrogen Water Stick remove the fluoride from tap water?

Great question. We haven't addressed this in much detail, on the website .

The Hydrogen Water Stick will remove "some" fluoride from your tap water, but that is not really our mission. Our mission to provide you with convenient and portable Hydrogen Rich Water.

Removing fluoride from tap water requires a proper filter designed to do just that - remove  fluoride. The nice thing about getting the proper water filter; the same water filter will usually remove chorine as well.

We don't directly sell water filters, but if you contact us we can provide you with a link to the company we use. They come in many configurations; counter-top, under-the-sink and whole house units.

Will the Hydrogen Water Stick change color or indicate in some way that the 6 months is up?

Great question. We haven't addressed this on the website in much detail.

No the Hydrogen Water Stick will not change color at six months. There will be a visible difference in the stick, the hydrogen gas bubbles will stop. But this indicator is very often misinterpreted by people. The Hydrogen Water Stick have been thoroughly tested and we have found that six months is a good time to change sticks.

We are considering sending customer emails at the end of six months, to remind them; should our customers request this feature.

Can the Hydrogen Water Stick be left in the refrigerator?

No, you can not leave the Hydrogen Water Stick in the refrigerator, it will slow down the hydrogen rich water process. You will find most experts agree that water should be consumed at room temperature for maximum health benefits and detoxification. Cold water slows down the metabolic process of the body. It's funny, we (Americans) are about the only people, that drink refrigerated water

Can the hydrogen water stick be put into a plastic pouring pitcher with lid?

Turn the pitcher upside down, filled with water, for a few minutes,

If it does not leak, then it is good for use.

Is it possible to ruin a Hydrogen Water Stick?

There are five things that can ruin a Hydrogen Water Stick.

• Using the Hydrogen Water Stick with anything but water or dirty water.
• Using the Hydrogen Water Stick with hot water.
• Not cleaning the stick.
• Letting the stick dry out.
• Microwaves - never ever

What type of water is best to use? Can I use reverse osmosis water? Can I use it with fruit juice?

Below are some points which may help you.

• Room temperature "pre-filtered" tap water is the best water to use.
  You can use any of the typical water filters on the market "Brita" or "PUR". Or, you can step-up to something more effective that removes chlorine, fluoride, sediment and smells from your water. You really should drink the best water you can afford. The better water filters come in many configurations; counter-top, under-the-sink and whole house units.
  
  We don't offer water filters directly, but we can suggest a company we are happy with.
   

• Don't use reverse osmosis water or distilled water.
  They have no minerals and we need the minerals to react with. If you choose to use bottled water be sure you know what process they used to clean the water. Some bottled water available from the store is reverse osmosis water.
   
• Never use your Hydrogen Water Stick with anything but room temperature water.
  As always, prefer you use "pre-filtered water.

Is this equivalent to a machine like a Ionizer?

Dear Meg,

Yes and no. Ionizers are a great invention. I almost purchased one. But lucky for me, I didn't have the money at the time. I then learned through Dr. Hayashi, that when it comes to providing you with a portable source of Hydrogen Rich Water; Ionizers have their limitations.

Dr. Hayashi's research papers on Ionized Water are absolutely the most quoted and referenced Ionized Water research papers on the Internet.

Lucky for all of us, Dr. Hayashi didn't stop his research at Ionized water. He observed the biggest benefit of Ionized Water was that the Ionized Water process made hydrogen readily available to the body as the most powerful anti-oxidant known.

But there was one significant challenge, constraining the Hydrogen in the water until it was ready to be conveniently consumed -- anytime or anywhere. Hydrogen, an extremely light gas dissipates in just a matter of minutes. Leaving the once beneficial Ionized Hydrogen-Rich Water, now hydrogen poor and energy depleting.

He knew through his research that everyone is hydrogen depleted, but having people sitting all day at their Water Ionizer, normally found on the kitchen counter, waiting to instantly consume their next glass of Ionized hydrogen rich water, before the hydrogen could escape was neither practical or convenient.

Dr. Hayashi realizing that Water Ionizers could never be a practical means of producing Hydrogen rich water, set out to find a new practical process and methodology. In 2001, he succeeded in developing the "Hydrogen Producing Mineral Stick" which produced Hydrogen Rich Water very simply, reliably and inexpensively. In December 2005, he was able to improve upon the design and delivery system with a new stick which is made of unique microporous sintered polypropylene as a new patented delivery system.

Dr. Hayashi's Hydrogen Water Sticks do not share any of the potential negative health hazards that Water Ionizers can produce, namely over alkalizing your drinking water. Dr. Hayashi's sticks do however preserve all the proper positive benefits, namely negative ORP values, safe alkaline pH levels and the enormous benefits of readily available hydrogen rich water - ready whenever and wherever you need it.

I read it is recommended that a person use one hydrogen stick if they are less than 35 years old, 2 sticks if they are more than 35 years old and 3 sticks if they want to see improvement with a health condition. What is your recommendation for use?

Yes, you are correct. The recommendation you mention is from Dr. H. Hayashi, a Cardiovascular Surgeon with over 20 years of research and development in the health benefits of Hydrogen Rich Water. We consider Dr. Hayashi, the leading authority on research and the many health benefits of drinking Hydrogen Rich Water.

We would like to offer a suggestion of his advice for only one reason, Detoxification. The typical American diet is extremely toxic and most people have never experienced  a thorough detoxification process. They often become concerned by detox symptoms, when actually these  symptoms are beneficial. Detoxification is good!

If you need three Hydrogen Rich Water sticks, we would like to suggest that you  begin with one Hydrogen Rich Water stick for about two weeks, then add in the second stick,  for two weeks, finally add the third stick. There is no additional benefit to using more than three Hydrogen Rich Water sticks, as three sticks will totally saturate your water.
